    Hi People,

As we know there are text preset animations within after effects. Does anyone know of any third party presets available to add to the default library? I want an effect which essentially adds randomness to each character of a word or sentence. Each character needs to start large, move erratically then form the word / sentence and then quickly dissipate. Think title sequences for spy films / sci fi films etc. I can use (in a limited fashion) expressions as regards animating a whole word but when it comes to effecting each character my skills are just not there. Using motion sketch I can get some really nice random motion again on a whole word (the beauty of using a wacom tablet) but I need an effect which controls each character differently and there are many words to be animated hence the need for an effect into which I can “plug in” any word. Any help greatly appreciated.

It’s kinda hard to visualize exactly what you’re seeing – as it seems to be very specific. I suggest that you take a look at freebies that I’ve made available at broadcastGEMs.

Once you’re there, goto the Freebies/Download link and look for the last link in the freebies section. There could be something there that you may find suitable – albeit with some tweaking.

Thanks for the link – had a look! I guess you’re right – I am being a bit specific and I doubt it’s easy to get a “fits all” solution. I guess the real solution is good old fashioned animation!

    Cheers,
