Cool Effect
Happy New Year to all, I have a small clip of a cool effect I’m trying to do in After Effect. It’s a Janet Jackson music video, can someone tell me how to do this effect or is there a similar tutorial on this. Here is the clip https://homepage.mac.com/fame1000/iMovieTheater21.html

this is the oldest trick of all!
Move – Camera stops – change it – camera rolls on.
They did it two times – One with and one without their clothes.
OK – In this case the move is very tight – (and i wish
i was the DOP! 🙂 but it-s not more than this

My Buddy worked on that Music Video. This is the effects company that did it https://x1fx.com/ .
They shot her without a shirt with a bra on then 3d guys came in and created a shirt and the compositors composited out the bra and put the 3d shirt in. After that they were able to do that wipes and so forth.

I figured it had to be more than a simple cut. Going frame by frame, you can see that the wardrobe flies in from the bottom on the BG dancers.

That’s a bit much for me..but it’s nice to know how it was done. Did they use After Effect to remove the bra from the girls? if so what techinque did they use?

They used flame. You can use AE though. Basicly it was just cloning the skin over the bra but you would have to go frame by frame and that takes along time.
