I posted awhile back about highlighting my son during a football game. It was suggested that I add a generated media (solid color) lower opacity, and then use cookie cutter over him. That works great. For the one clip. What I need to do is at the beginning of each clip, highlight him. So I basically have like 20 – 3 second clips on the time line. At the beginning of each one I want to highlight him or somehow differentiate him. Is cookie cutter still the way to go?

    Thanks for helping a noob!

After you do your FX on one event, copy, then Paste Event Attibute (by right clicking). Then, you just have to adjust the position of the FX for each event.

I missed the original post, and am very interested in how to do this highlighting. I too would like to highlight people in a football game. My problem: When I use a cookie cutter, the mask around the cutter is completely opaque. So, I get a little circle through which a highlighted person is visible, but the entire rest of the scene is blocked.

I can’t find a way to make the “mask” that surrounds the cut out less opaque.

    Thanks,

    Mac
