  • Convertng FCPX generated subtitles to a dialogue list WITH TIMECODE

Hello. I have just finished a short which I subtitled in FCP X. I need to create a dialogue list WITH TIME CODE of the subtitles. I’ve seen some PAID softwares that create EDLs from FCP X. This is a real pain in the ass; when I used to use FCP 7 you could export and EDL for free, without any other software; same thing happened to creat OMF files. I insist, what a pain in the ass. I have just finished my ultra-independent film and I’m broke because I spent all my money in making it.

Does anybody have an idea on how to make a dialogue list directly from FCP X? I’ve already tried with an XML, but the file has so many setting and additional text, besides the one of the dialogues, that seems impossible to manually delete all the settings. I just want timecode and text of the FCP X-generated subtitles.

Any good samaritan that could please help me in finding a process?

    Thanks in advance.

    Google for X-Type List.
