Converting xml file from Premier to FCPx ads a .mov extension to all video clips and duplicates those in library.
When my editor sent back an xml file from Adobe Premier, I had to run it through the 7toX app to allow my FCPX program to import it. The timeline is there but it duplicated all of our video clips into the library with a new .mov extension to them. Now the timeline is searching for the .mov files (that don’t exist on my computer) so all of those clips say “Missing File”. In the library there is the original clip (P6080143) and a second clip (P6080143.mov) that the timeline is using. How do I change the timeline to search for the original clips that do not have the .mov extension? Is it something I did wrong in the import process or does Premier change the file extension?
