  • Converting XDCAM Footage for Final Cut 5?

We shot some stuff for a local band on our Sony EX-3s but the band’s editor is using Final Cut 5 and can’t open them. What would be the best settings in Compressor to convert these files into something he can use? Can Final Cut 5 handle HD? Would giving them DV NTSC 16:9 files be best?

It know FCP5 handles DVCProHD. If you went with an SD codec I’d suggest DVCPro50 over DV. It’s much better quality.
