  Converting to Compix .ceg file

  I have a Compix Gen CG MLE 5.5 unit for which I am trying to create sports graphics (i.e. lower third scoreboard, score bug, sportscaster lower thirds, etc.). I would like to import photoshop files (from v.7, as that is what I have available), but all it seems to want are .ceg or .leg files. I have used other versions of Compix before and have never had any trouble importing other files created in Photoshop. I need to import them as .psd or some similar format that includes the alpha channel. Is there anyway I can import such files?
