Converting svg to ai and opening it in AF
Hello, I wonder if anyone could help me. I’m trying to convert svg from Sketch into the ai file in illustrator and then bring it into the After Effects to animate it. Everything works well, except one thing. The ai files viewed in After Effects look like they were of a very low quality, although in Illustrator everything looks perfect. I tried a “continuously resterize” option in After Effects as well and it doesn’t work for me. Any suggestions?

Can you post a screenshot of your complete UI, showing the timeline and the problem in the comp panel?

So basically, the image has to be placed within the 1920 x 1080 composition. And as you can see here, is blurred.

You’re working on a high-res 5K screen. Ae is aware of the high DPI display, and it’s still showing you the comp viewer panel at 1:1. That means that the 1920×1080 HD frame normally takes up only a small portion of your full display.
Your viewer is zoomed to 400%. If you zoom out to 100%, it should look crisp.

Thanks a lot for your help! I’m experiencing another issue though. When I am bringing into the After Effects the same file, but converted from svg to psd, not to the .ai, it looks much better but when I’m trying to scale it down, it looses quality, which is very weird. Could you help here somehow?

Could you post your SVG, AI and PSD files so I can compare them?
