Converting SD to HD
Hey I`m an editing student from Afda. I worked on a 5min short film as a Standard Definition project, I have edited it and I am now finally at the end of the project. The original OuickTime files were in High Definition, but when the producers created and imported the project and files it was done as SD. They are happy with everything, but now I was wondering if there was a way to take the SD sequence timeline (24p NTSC) with all my edits and create a new HD project (720p/23.976) and it read the original SD sequence as HD. I’m thinking, Decompose the SD project, save on drive then open SD sequence in a new HD project and batch import files? Will that work?

If you have the QuickTime file in HD and the SD names match…
Take the sequence, Media Manage – Make Offline, pick the sequence type you want…and then relink.
