    When I try to “current state to object” on my scuplted object I get a mesh with bumps everywhere. This is also the case when creating normals directly.

    Any idea what’s going on here?

    I ran into this with a different model and posted about it a couple days ago here, but thought I had solved it. I previously thought this was occurring because my sculpted subdivides were too high. In this current instance the subdivide is only level 3 and looks fine (see below).

    Is this a cinema glitch?

    Project file is before I’ve hit “current state to object”.

    I can’t recreate the problem here, using R15. What version of Cinema are you using?

    I suggest that, instead of using the current state command, you try the Tools>Make polygon copy command in the Sculpting layers dialogue.

    Thanks for the input regarding the Sculpt to Mesh tool.

    I’ve got R15 Build RC89143.

    This is happening on both my mac and PC systems. I’ve tried copying to a new project, deleting any unneeded tags and then creating the mesh but no luck. I’m wondering if it has something to do with PoseMorph tag and the geometry in the Ref Poses. Thoughts?

    All i’m trying to do is bake a normal map for two aged sculpts

    So it turned out stripping down my project to save for the forum helped resolve the issue.

    SOLVED:

    1. duplicate object with sculpt and remove any of the pose morph and extra tags not needed.
    2. copy object and paste into new project
    3. open scuplt tag and use tools to create mesh
    4. DONE!
