Converting .scc files to .srt files in Premiere Pro CC 2017
I’m trying to create a subtitle file that will eventually be attached to an H.264 mp4. I’ve got a .scc file that I’ve successfully imported into my premiere pro CC 2017 file. It plays fine, it embeds fine into a quicktime file. But it will not embed into an mp4, as mp4’s require subtitle files, and cannot carry closed captions. So, I exported a .srt from media encoder and re-imported it back into the premiere pro file. It’s start time needed to be adjusted, but other than that it functions normally, except that it’s very small, and not placed correctly on the screen. Again, my goal is to get this .srt file functioning normally, and marry it to a H.264 mp4 file to upload to vimeo, and for other uses. I’d like the subtitles to toggle on and off, and not be burned-in captions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Captions Exported as .srt, re-imported into timeline (showing up very small)
