  • Converting QTime .mov and .avi to use in Windows Media player

I’ve been using FCP to edit back to video tape. I am now getting requests to have my videos saved onto CD’s for use in POwerpoint presentations. I work in a hospital environment and our IS dept doesn’t support MAC’s on our network, only PC’s.

Can anyone suggest a good software to make QT .mov’s and .avi’s to a format to play on Windows MEdia PLayer. I would like to do the conversion on the MAC I use for FCP. This MAC is a stand alone machne of FCP only.

Quicktime Pro will convert to AVI. The selection of available codecs is low, but the most important ones are there.

This is a topci that comes up around here at least once a week, sometimes more, so scroll down the posts a few pages or search for similar terms. You’ll find several suggestions.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
