I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right place, but I have tried a couple things and am not having success.

I have 300 dpi, 24-bit color .pdf files that I need to import into FCP. When I have the files imported (documents, letters, testimony, etc.) the resolution is so poor that the text is barely legible. I need to increase the size of the image so that excerpts of the letters are clearly readable on the screen.

I’m using FCP 5 or 6 (can’t remember and am away from my machine) MacBook Pro G4, and an old version of photoshop & AE.

Can anyone help me out with suggestions on how to proceed with this? Or point me in the direction of the appropriate forum to ask?

    Thank you,
    Amy

    Amy,

I’m now having similar problems. Did you find a solution?
I’m trying to import a table of text into FCP6. It starts as an excel sheet. I save it as a pdf and it looks fine. I can zoom right in and looks crystal sharp. If I import that pdf into FCP6 it looks dreadful!
I’ve tried saving it as a jpeg with the “best” setting, and ridiculously high resolutions – 2000 dpi. It looks just as bad as the pdf.
