    Help!

I got an mpeg from a friend, sent to me in PAL. At least it seems that way because in trying to burn it to dvd, it kept wanting to go to PAL. Even when I flipped into a quick time, and tried burning it that way, it kept coming up PAL. 2 questions: how can I convert it to NTSC so taht i can output a DVD of just that material, and 2) can FCP convert it to NTSC if I dump it onto the timeline as a PAL quicktime? I hope the questions make sense.

    thanks!

You should try first to convert to mpg to a PAl .mov, then that one to an NTSC.mov.
You can try to do all at once with MPGStreamclip.

I am trying to get footage from my DCR-SR85 into a FCP compatible form. They appear as MPG files, and when I convert them to MOV or DV they are very low quality. Any suggestions?
