Converting old Vegas Pro 2.0 VEG files
heylo!
i’m trying to open some old Vegas 2.0 files. the projects will load up, but Vegas 15 loses all of the routing.
reading online, it seems that the only way to convert these files is with Vegas 3.0.
does anyone have a copy of Vegas 3.0?

What do you mean by “routing” in this case?

back in the early days of Vegas, there was an Audio version and a Video version.
i used Vegas Audio 2.0 to mix an album i made.
the routing is for the audio tracks. i routed them to AUX tracks to do submixes and add effects.

Ah, yes, there might have been some changes to audio bus routing in the past.
You’ll find Vegas Video 3 (and version 2 and others) in this web archive. Scroll down almost to the bottom for version 3.

i was able to download Vegas Video 3.0c and install it!
now, i find that i am missing some old DirectX plugins when i load the projects in VV3.0c.
i’m doubtful i’ll be able to track all of them down.so funny ☺ wish i just had my old 2002 Windows XP install.
