I just completed a Workout video project for a client and shipped it off to China for duplication… now they want a PAL version. It was all shot & cut in NTSC.

I’ve made a test PAL disc and played it in a PAL player & monitor and it worked OK… but I just wanted to drop a line out there and see if anyone has a better way of converting the NTSC to PAL.

Currently I’m converting the NTSC video in FCP using Compressor PAL settings. I then drop the converted PAL Video into a FCP PAL project and Encode it for DVD using Compressor.

Is this the best way to convert to PAL for a PAL DVD?

    Thanks for your time!

Nattress Standards Converter but you need to convert each clip individually. Does not work well on an entire timeline as you will get bad glitches at each cut.

Export as a QT movie to create a single file before converting…

I don’t think even Graeme recommends that. He recommends applying the filter to individual clips rather than an export of the entire timeline.
