Don’t forget to remove the pulldown(if you have any, you haven’t specified) before editing or the cadence will be broken and then you’ll have to use compressor to fix broken cadences, which takes even more time.

If you can get that out of the way, then it won’t matter if you edit or timestretch in any particular order. And yes, 119.88% is going to slow down the audio a lot.

I recommend an audio ram preview to see if it bothers you. You simply can’t change speed of the video, without the audio stretch too, without losing lip sync. If it drives you bonkers, there’s frame blending as an option too.

And if the pitch bothers you but the speed is ok, then use adobe audition or protools or something that can change speed but maintain pitch.

OR find someone who has a cryex supercomputer, like James Cameron did for Avatar’s 3-d rendering for the infamous compressor software…
