    Hello,

I am new here and have mild-moderate experience with conversion software. I don’t understand too much of the engineering behind it but respect it.

I am attempting to convert a .m2t file our Leightronix UltraNexus created into an MXF with Sorenson Desktop 11. The process seems to work until I get it into AVID and I have an audio sync issue. It seems the longer the video goes the further the audio gets delayed.

I notice the source audio is AAC and Sorenson is trying to turn it into LPCM. I am not too familiar but am wondering if there is some padding issue going on here?

Let me know if you have any ideas or if you need any more information. Thanks.

    Computer – Windows
Operating system including exact version number: Windows 7 SP1
Software used including version number: Sorenson 11.0.0.185, Avid Media Composer 8.5.0.41065
Source codec (file you put in): .m2t
Destination codec (file you want out): .mxf
Type of destination use: edit for DVD.

I believe LPCM at 48kHz should be OK. Check the sample rate. Also check the frame rate to make sure something odd didn’t happen. The free version of Telestream Stream Switch is good for inspecting files.
