    I can think of at least two different ways to do this….

    But the easiest will be to toss the HD sequence into an SD sequence (nesting)

    I would recommend editing in HD.
    Export (HD) the sequence when you are done choosing “current Settings”
    Drop that file into compressor and convert/compress there.

    This assumes you do not have an I/O card that can play out downconverting…
