    Hi All,

I am shooting with a camera next week that uses the .MTS file type, unfortunately i was let down by a friend who had a DV cam and i’m now forced to use this other camera as a result.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if i will lose quality converting from MTS to DV, I’m converting to DV so that i can work within FCP without having to render everything over and over again.

Or is there a better solution??

    Thanks for the help guys!

One of my cameras records AVCHD files as MTS. I use Clipwrap to convert the files to Apple Intermediate Codec, though I could use ProRes or several others. It works quickly and does a good job.
