converting from mpg to Quicktime
Most of the posts about going from mpeg to QT say the audio drops out. My audio is fine but the video is black. I am on FCP 7 on OSX 10.8.5. I have used MEG Streamclip and Prism and am getting black video. What am I missing?

Use Episode for transcoding. Probably the special codec of the mpeg you want to encode is not within the programs you use.
