  • Converting Countryman B6 TA4F connector to 3.5mm ?

Posted by Chad Smith on October 10, 2012 at 4:38 pm

Got two B6’s from a buddy who was using them with Shure wireless. I am using G3s. So wanted to change them over to 3.5mm. Looking at the TA4F connector the B6 has two leads coming out (white and ground) with two little capacitors as well. One strapping the lead with the ground and white wire. Then the other going from pin 2 (?) to the the bottom pin (3?) Does anyone know how I can switch over to 3.5mm? Do I need to keep the caps in place?

    Thanks

It’s almost impossible to rewire the B6 connectors from the TA4 connector as there are small components in the connector that must remain in place. I would suggest that you talk to me about having me make you 2 short TA4 to to 3.5mm TRS with a locking collar adapter cable. That way you have the mics for any TA4 wireless and the Sennheiser wireless.
