Converting AVCHD to DNXHD
Well, basically it’s a very simple question that I have.
I have footage from a Sony camcorder recorded in AVCHD, an overall bit rate of 17mbps. I’d like to convert it to an efficient editing format, like DNXHD.
It’s been HOURS since I’m looking for a simple software that could help me do that. Haven’t found a good one yet.
Any tips would be very helpful.

Adobe Media Encoder has presets for DNXHd MXF Op1a.
If you want Quicktime DNXHD, you can just download the Avid DNX codec from Avids’s website. Once installed, you can create your own preset for Quicktime DNXHD in Adobe Media Encoder.
Honestly, if this is for editing in Premiere, DNXHD MXF Op1a is just fine.

I don’t know if there’s something wrong in my version of Media Encoder, but I don’t have the choice for DNXHD. It’s ME6

Might not be in CS6. I am on CC.
You can install the Avid codecs (free download from Avid. com) then export DNXHD QuickTime files. The presets won’t appear automatically after installing the codecs. You have to create your own.
