  Converting ASF to MOV problems + Thick line rendering problems

  We are receiving .ASF files from a PV500 camera (a mini button camera that an undercover detective might wear).

  We convert the files to .MOV primarily through iCoolsoft, but have also converted through Wondershare and Any Video Converter.

  Once the files are converted and we place them in the Final Cut Pro timeline, a thick line render is prompted, even when I click YES to changing the sequence settings to match the clip settings.

  If a manual change is required, how do I change the audio format to a 32-bit floating format?

  My problem seems simple enough, but the solution has been escaping us for weeks.

  For videos that do convert properly, the settings are automatically changed when I click YES after importing to the timeline. It just doesn’t make sense because it works for one video but not for the other.
