Hello, I have a quick question,

I have some logos I am animating in After Effects CS6 and they were given to me from our Advertising Department as Illustrator and eps format files. I import them, place them in a comp, select “Create Shapes from Vector” and all is well, logo looks very good. When I select the 3D layer option on the new shapes, some areas of the logo fill in where they should be transparent. Any Ideas how to fix this issue? This particular logo is a script logo for Vera Bradley.

Here is a couple screen shots:

Thanks for any help, I am in a crunch time…

Hopefully you got this worked out. I’d have suggested you go in and check he .ai file and ensure that it was properly masked, or to go in and manually create the missing portions of the mask. Or to use after effects trace option (the options in the Edit menu, I don’t have AE open just now).

I’d think one of those two routes should have gotten you back on the path.

I will try looking into those ideas, I am very new to both AE and AI, been using Premiere and photoshop for years. I went out and found another version of the logo in eps and it worked.

    Thanks for the response…
