  • Converting a project from DV 29.97 to 1920X1080 @ 23.976?

    Hi,

Does anyone know how or if it’s possible to convert an existing timeline in PPro 1.5 to a different frame rate
and resolution. I’m trying to take a DV project 720X480 @ 29.97 and convert the timeline to utilize 1920X1080 clips at 23.976.

    Thanks,

Check out InstantHD from Red Giant Software. Not free, but does a good job.

    HI Aanarav,

I already have both Magic Bullet and IHD (Magic Bullet converts 29.97 footage to 23.976 among other things) and IHD
(I was a beta tester) up-rezzes footage as in 720X486 to 1920X1080. So I have no problem converting the footage.

My question is: How do you convert an existing Premiere Pro Sequence from 29.97 to 23.976. How do you do convert a
timeline – not the footage itself.

    Thanks,

    Eric

You create a new project with the correct settings and just import the old project into it. Nest the old sequence into the new. Simple.
