    Could I create and animation including a mov file and turn it into a flash file and import it directly into Dreamweaver on my site using the insert Flash File option ?

    You can drag any file into your AE comp and make an SWF out of it. However, it might not be a small vector-type SWF. It could be quite large because not all of AE’s fancy effects can be vectorized.

    it is possible, If you choose export to SWF en choose rasterize all unsuported features.
    But you wil end up with a very large SWF file.

    i would say it’s better to export your file to an AVI or something and use a third party app. to convert to SWF (search google for “avi to swf” there are tons of programs for this.

    you can also use the “FLV exporter” that comes with Flash MX once installed you wil find it under the export tab in AE.
