    Hello all,

I have just edited a short short in 4:3 that needs to be changed to 16:9.

This wasnt shot with this in mind so I need to move the picture around to avoid cutting some parts of the frame out.

Can I get a mask to lay over the video so then I can move the pictures around on the X axis?

This has to be Pixel perfect as it will be broadcast.

    Thanks

    Neil

If all you need to do is letterbox the video and then change it’s vertical position, your mask idea would work great…

I do this at work sometimes with trailers…What i do is put the finished sequenceA in another sequenceB then option click the sequenceA to open it in the viewer then go to the motion tab and use the distort aspect ratio slider to make it appear 16:9. Use a mask to cover the uneveness or that 1pixel at the top or bottom u sometimes find.
