Converting 30fps to 25fps in Sony Vegas Pro 11
I have footage which is shot in both 30fps and 25fps via Nikon D800 cameras. I want the output to be 25fps once I render the final project.
I have read online that I can slow the 30fps (29.97fps) to 0.8333 of the original speed to get it ‘close’ to 25fps.
My question is, what format/file extension do I render these clips to so that I can easily re-import them back into Vegas Pro to complete my project (without losing an unnecessary quality)? If someone can share specific render setting that would be fantastic.
Note that the sound is not an issue as it was recorded via a digital recorder. It just means I won’t be able to use plural eyes to sync all the files as the 30fps sound will be slightly distorted. I can work around that.
The original format for the files is 1080p 25fps (and 30 fps), ~ 25kbps, and they are *.mov files. The final product will be a PAL DVD @ 25fps as well as a smaller online video which is typically *.mp4.
