Converting 29.97 SD to 1080p in Media Composer
Hello!
We’re cutting an HD project. We had the HDCams downcoverted to DBC, cut in 29.97. We onlined the onair spots in the Flame, everything worked great. We were also finishing web virals in the AVID, conforming 1:1 from our DBC. The client has now asked us to make these QTs at 960×540, and of course won’t pay for Flame time. Needless to say, I’m not too happy. I have made EDLs, and I’m having much trouble coverting them from 29.97 to 23.98. The closest I’ve gotten thus far is converting in Cinema Tools, but MC did not open them correctly.
Has anyone done this successfully? I do also have the option of conforming in FCP6, but unable to run tests at this time.Thanks!
