Hi all, my sequence in FCP is a progressive sequence and the 720p footage looks as it should, but my 1080i footage is very jaggy. The reason i’m posting is because i’ve converted all the footage to pro res 422 using mpeg streamclip and the 1080i footage has no field dominance. so any ideas why it is jaggy?

Could it be because i’m only viewing it on my imac and not a monitor? I’m sure i had a similar problem before but it was just down to not viewing it on a monitor, but thought i may as well check it out on here!

    Cheers!

Interlacing doesn’t display properly on computer displays. You need external monitoring that can do interlacing in order to see that things are good.
