    My first post

I have a movie which consists of one image which appears throughout and a number of small clips dotted on the timeline. Is there a way of making the image stay in colour while making the clips black and white. Keyframing the filter is a real pain for a newbie.

    great to be here

    Peace

This article is about “Color Pass” and will help you understand the process. JetDV has a multiple color pass article on his site as well.

I think some clarification may be in order. My interpretation of your post is that you are working on a project which has an image (this is one event) and several other videos (multiple events), and you want the videos in B&W.

If that’s the case, the simplest thing to do would be to put the image on one track and the video clips on a different track. Then apply the B&W FX to the track with the videos.

Thanks for the response. I figured out how to apply the effect to just the clip. I was applying it to the whole timeline and trying to keyframe. What a chucklehead.
    Thanks again
