convert mono to stereo
I need to convert mono files to stereo in audition. I’ve looked everywhere and it’s not happening for me. when i go into the waveform and convert it stays mono on the multitrack timeline. Surely this should be an easy thing to do? Latest version…

My version is 3.0 but what works for me is when I am in the Multitrack tab, I slide a song (that is in mono) into the multitrack which is set as stereo, Adobe will convert it to stereo after you choose the settings you want I use 41000, 16bit and stereo. It creates a stereo cut of that song.

Thanks Bruce. I can’t find the settings for the multitrack that point to stereo but what I need is something like they have in premiere where you can select a clip and simply convert. I can’t understand why it’s so complicated…

Well I have only used 3.0 given to me by the radio station I do a show for, it’s been 3 years now and I am still learning little tricks along the way, it can be frustrating for sure. Wish I could afford to upgrade but then again maybe I am better off using what I have, do not want a new steep learning curve.
