  • Convert DVD format m2v+ac3 into mpeg or something similar?

Posted by Emanuel Ach on September 6, 2011 at 7:22 pm

    Hi,

So I’ve got two files, m2v+ac3 and what options do I have to convert/compress them into a mpeg or um even mov?

How do I merge m2v and ac3 into one final video and audio file?

    Thanks,

What you’re looking for (maybe) a multiplexer – something like this

That would merge them without losing any quality.

Beyond that, you use something like MPEG streamclip to rip the M2V into something you can use, merge them in editorial software and then export into the final format you want.
