convert .ai files to shape layers in AE?

no. at least not right now. you have to do it by hand. i’m trying to find a smart solution to that problem mostly because people using my CE ShapeExtruder that works with Shape Layers want to create 3D logos from AI files… i haven’t found a solution worth sharing so far, but i’m thinking about it and hopefully i’ll figure something out at the end.
