convert ac3 to aiff
Anyone know what program to use to convert ac3 audio to aiff? A client wants to use video from a dvd. He’s got the original mpeg files, which are separate video and audio files. Final Cut Studio can read and play the m2v files, but it does not recognize the ac3 files.

has a freeware program that works.

I’ve experienced streams in the past that didn’t work well with MAC3dec. In those cases, ffmpegX or MPEG StreamClip seemed to do the trick.
