Convert a 29.97 EDL to 23.98
I’ve seen plenty of links for similar problems (like 24p.com) but I can’t find a simple solution for mine:
I’m regularly given edls for capturing clips into a 23.98 project that are made from 29.97 DVD screeners (the source material is 23.98). The info on the 24p.com site shows you a few ways do do this from the get-go, but I don’t have that luxury. Someone way down the chain at another company makes these edls, using a DVD and and excel spreadsheet rigged up with macros. Until now, I had the help of a friend with a DS system (which apparently has a 30 to 24 conversion feature build in) but that is no longer an option. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan
