I have a DV film in Final Cut Pro with 23.98 (23.976) framerate. The film has been already output to Digibeta (29.97 fps) in a post facility. I have to create a transcript with timecode which would match up with the Digibeta for a festival. What would be the easiest method to accomplish this? I do NOT have a Digibeta deck in my home. I thought of several methods, would like to know your thoughts:

    1. Within FCP, convert my 23.98 sequence to 29.97. But it seems like I cannot change the framerate in my sequence settings.

    2. Within FCP, copy 23.98 sequence into a 29.97 sequence.

    3. Go to post facility, dub from Digibeta to miniDV with locked timecode. Digitize the miniDV into FCP and use that Timecode as a reference. This seems more expensive and more of a hassle.

Thanks for any info you could provide!

    Best,
    Alexander

I believe the Digibeta timecode is 29.97 NDF (non-drop frame)
