With On2 Flix pulled from the market, does anyone know of a comparable product (price & quality) that I can use with FCP to create flash files? I know about exporting to H.264 and changing the extention, but I don’t think that will address my clients need to get the most quality out of the smallest file. Any ideas?

We use Sorenson Squeeze 6 which includes the On2VP6 codec. I believe they have a Flash-only version, too.

The Perian extensions for Quicktime enable exporting of FLV files in either On2VP6 of Sorenson Spark formats. https://perian.org/#download

It’s a lot less powerful than Squeeze, but it’s free and does a good job most of the time.
