    Hi Brian,
All that info is in the ConvergentDesign web site.
The difference is to record 420 at 35Mbps or 422 at 50/160Mbps.

    Rafael,
For EX cameras you can use the COCO-EX by Bebob. It is on the camera.

This is just one easy way to continue to use the original Sony batteries.

CD is working on other options as we speak.

It is a pretty car isn’t it? LOL

    Beautiful car “si señor”;-)
It would be great if I could use the bunch of batteries I have from the PD-170.
Since I have the EX-1, I don’t use them much.
BTW Michael, how are you storing your footage?

Michael, how did you get your hands on one of these? I thought the nanoFLASH didn’t ship until June.

I broke into CD one night last week and there it was. Just kidding, they sent it to me for some pictures with my camera. This is only a mockup unit.

    Good Luck

    Hi Michael,

Do you have any videos you could post? Better yet, with and without (the NanoFlash) would be really useful.
There’s been much talk about the EX1’s Rolling Shutter along with Compression causing blur even on slow pans, so it would be great to see if that problem is remedied with the NanoFlash.

    Thanks.

    Regards,
    Rajnesh

Rolling shutter is due to CMOS chip, not the codec. Even RED camera has that issue. It’s the nature of CMOS. I do not see it on most pans. It can be visible when following fast action such as racing car or soccer/futbol player running. The background might show bending. It’s certainly not there on slow or even normal pans. If you don’t like that than the option is 1/3″ in this camera size/price range and the loss of control of DOF. From personal experience clients notice the improved DOF more than any issue with rolling shutter (your aesthetic may vary).
