Hi, I have prememre pro cs3. I got a cameraman with a red camera to shoot an art video for me. He uses some box called convergent design which converts the red footage into an XMF or a Mov file that he says I should be able to get into cs3. Looking on the convergent desgn website it keep going on about this mainconcept plug in which is out of my money range. How can I get the footage into my machine, I got the MXF patch but it has no effect on this footage, can the camera guy download it in a diff way for me to import it in. I have a firend with adobe cs5.5 will it go into that..thanks.. I am lost and have never encountered this convergence box thingy..thanks

Is your friend doing the transcode? Have your friend render out ProRes HQ as the MOV codec. You’ll need to download the ProRes decoder https://support.apple.com/downloads/Apple_ProRes_QuickTime_Decoder_1_0_for_Windows if you’re running a Windows machine or https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1 if you’re on Mac.

Should work within CS3 just fine if I recall correctly.
