  • Controlling the state of a clone child variable with a shared effector

As the title states, would there be a way to control a specific variable independently for each clone that was created from the cloner tool and have them react to a luminescence value they land controlled under a shadier effect. From my understanding, you can only control position scale and rotation. I have also noticed from some GSG videos that you can control color with it as well. However none of the things I have looked up show the possibility of controlling the movement of the object I have set up. If you would like to take a look at my project file here it is. If you have any questions please feel free to reply.

    Thanks.

what movement are you trying to control? Are you trying to get your grid to move to the blue/white image positions or are you trying to do the triangle morph of the other image? Both? Something else?

Sorry for not replying earlier. The movement that I am trying to control is within ( plain>cloner>1_Position Control>Groups>Molnstance>P.Z>from a range of -58.026 to 0 and anywhere between). The luminance map control would be generated from an independent ever-changing noise pattern from a material within c4d. I would like each duplication of the child of the cloner to relay its position to the noise pattern and depending upon where it is the in space the P.Z variable mentioned from above would change for each instance of itself for every spot across the grid of clones.

The image with the triangles is the pattern I would like the cloner to arrange the triangles into when they are all flat (When P.Z for all of them is (-58.026).
