  controlling effects with automation lanes

  I was a bit disappointed not finding this feature… basically, what I wanted to do is adjust the volume of a effect itself. Or how much impact in has on the sound clip. Kind of like layer opacity in Photoshop.

  Here’s a parametric EQ preset I have – a low pass filter basically.
  

  But I can’t address the low pass with an envelope directly. So I thought there is a way to ‘fade in’ the loudness of the whole effect preset.
  The closest I got is with the bypass envelope, but that’s either on or off.

  The effect I am going for is water splashes, gradually transferring under-water.

  There must be a way to achieve this somehow..
