    Hi guys,

    Could someone explain to me how do I control the color value of multiple shapes in multiple compositions with the color of just one shape?

    I assume this can be done only with Expressions, so that’s why I’m here.

    Thanks!

    make a null object, name it “controller”.
    in effects and presets, apply and instance of “color control” to the null.
    finally, use the following expression on any of the shapes’ colors.

    thisComp.layer("controller").effect("Color Control")("Color");

    Hi,
    Thanks for the hint. I was wondering if this controls all the other layers in different comps as well?
    Here is what I need to do.

    I have different comps with different text layers which I have applied color overlay to them and need to link the color value to one color controller.

    I manage to do it in one comp but other comps wont work.

    Thanks
