Controlling CC Drizzle effect
Hi,
I’m trying to create a water ripple effect in After Effects 7 viewed from above. CC Drizzle pretty much gives me the exact look I’m going for but the problem is I only want one ripple that I can place where I want in the composition(Instead of the random assortment it generates on screen at any one time). Bit like that bit in Donnie Darko I guess where he touches the mirror. Is this possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use Effect>Distort>Ripple, or for a greater degree of control (and render time) you can use Effect>Simulation>Wave World. Look for tutorials on the latter if you’re confused, or post again for specific information. The basic idea is you would render it as a height map and then use this as the source for a displacement map.

i tried using cc drizzle
bt its facing the camera
i want it on the road and its perspective…
i also tried making the layer 3d
bt i m nt able to rotate it…
can anyone plz help me…
