Is there anyway to switch the timecode readout on the viewer to a control track so that the start of the clip is always zeroed? Currently I have nine cameras for a song that have different timecode and I have to use a timecode calculator in my dashboard. Basically I lay the song down in the timeline then I scan through each nine cameras for a good shot and lay it down. But this would be so much easier if all of the clips had there timecode zeroed at the beginning of each clip. Help please,
    -Colin

Under Clip -> modify timecode you can set it.
But, it’s a bad idea, as you can never go back to your original footage.
Better is to use AuxTC. You can also set it in the same ‘modify tc’ window.
After you’ve done so, you can switch the TC display to AuxTC and work with that. (it’s essentially a second TC track, independent from the original TC)

Next time you shoot a video like this, use an LTC source and feed it to one of the audio channels of all the cams, and use this:

Very easy syncing of all cams.

where all cameras running at the same time (9 different angles)?

If so, then set up as a multiclip and make it much easier on you.
If you basically have 9 tapes of footage, then……never mind.

    Bouke,

After you set the AuxTC, is there a way to view it while editing the clip in a sequence? (instead of the source TC?)

Sure, after you’ve set the AuxTC, load it in the vieuwer.
Then, right click on the TC display in the viewer and select it.

Keep in mind that setting the AUXtc alters the original clip. Thus, every other project that accesses that clip also gets this second TC.
