    Hi,

I’m new to web design. And I was wondering someone could give me some pointers about CMS.

Do I have to build my webpage in wordpress for example or can I build it in dreamweaver and implement a CMS?

I’m currently building a website for someone who will need to upload pics and videos on their site. But I don’t want to be constrained by wordpress or other CMS software as the website needs to be bespoke.

    Thanks!

The simplest way to change visuals in a WordPress theme is to find the related CSS file, backup first, and mess with it to your satisfaction.

Dreamweaver can preview your WordPress site locally, but you need to install/configure a local server and database, like WAMP. Not very difficult, once you understand what you’re doing.

    I hope this helps.

I work for Marketpath CMS, a CMS focused on ease of use for non-technical individuals from small organizations. Uploading video and photos is simple.

When outside designers use our CMS, all we require are Photoshop PSDs with layers. For more info, check out https://www.marketpath.com
