I recently upgraded my MAC OS to Mountain Lion (10.8.3). Also running FC7. While I have had no problems with the OS upgrade when using Final Cut, I discovered that the XDCAM Transfer software no longer works. It doesn’t recognize the XDCam discs when loaded into the PDW-F75 deck. I’ve gone through the process of downloading “Content Browser” V.1.1 from Sony. The program loads fine but it’s still not seeing the deck or the footage. Any thoughts?

    SPECs:
    2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 with 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 memory
    OSX 10.8.3
    Final Cut 7.0.3
    Sony Content Browser v.1.1
    Sony PDW-F75 deck
Using Firewire 400 cable to connect deck to external LACIE hard drive

Yes I downloaded the FAM driver tool (V 2.2.3d1) from the Sony website.

does the disc mount? do you see the disc and the correct folder structure in Finder?

No I cannot see the disc anywhere. When I was using XDCam transfer the disc would be visible as soon as the program opened. I can’t see the disc in Finder, Content Browser, or XDCam Transfer.

is the deck set to AVC and not FAM? in the menu under i.LINK mode?

what do you see in your Apple System Profiler under ‘Firewire’?

Success! The deck was showing in the Apple System Profiler … the problem was as you suggested that the deck was set to AVC and not FAM. Once I made that menu change, the clips were visible. Thank you for your help!
