    Hi,

I am constantly losing Firewire output. Anything will make this happen. I am constantly having to trash and rebuild FCP prefs. G5 or G4 whenever I switch anything in the easy setup (Kona card, BMD, etc.) when I go back to DV-NTSC there is no output via firewire. I can still capture through firewire, but no output. This has been happening for a while on both clean and dirty systems.

    Any advice???

    Craig

Might try resetting the PMU button on those system’s logic board… Locations for this button are different from machine to machine, look in Apple’s online search in the support area for help here. Just search Power Management Unit…
