Consolidating Media
OK so here’s my troubles… I’ve been working on a project for close to five years and in those five years I’m accumulated media on various hard drives. I’ve finally edited it together and I would just like to consolidate all the media I’ve used onto one hard drive without all the other garbage I have on the other hard drives. A friend of mine told me in Avid there was some sort of “Mix Down” you could do that would do this, but I’m using Vegas 9c. Can anyone tell me the best way to do this?

Open the project with all the files in it, save as, and check in the bottom left, “Copy media”. You have the option to copy the full media clips or just the parts used in your project, with up to 2 second handles and each end. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
